No electricity price rises before the end of winter 2010!

If youre an Empower customer in Wellington or Christchurch, its time to rest easy.

Our electricity prices wont go up before the end of winter in 2010! Thats two winters (and a summer too) without an increase (excludes the Electricity Commission levy and taxes). You dont need to call, sign up or do anything to benefit.

Its our way of saying thanks for being an Empower customer.

Terms and conditions

Residential and business standard published prices wont change until at least 1 October 2010. Applies to Empower customers in:

• the Wellington Electricity network, including the Hutt Valley, Porirua and Pukerua Bay
• the Orion network, which excludes North Canterbury and Wigram.

Excludes Time of Use accounts.

Empower may adjust the price payable by you, as Empower considers necessary, to pass on to you any tax, levy (including the Electricity Commission levy), assessment, impost, duty, charge or withholding on electricity.
